In Acts 17 we pick up Paul's story as he travels to Athens. Paul is stirred by the amount of idol worship in the city. One statue to the unknown God stirrs his spirit even more to share the Gospel with the crowd. Pointing out that they are searching, because there is a spiritual hunger that they can't fulfill. But through the one true God, there is Hope for the Hungry

As we walk through Acts 15-16, we see Paul and Silas end up arrested and in jail. As they're awaiting the next morning to find out their fate, they respond in a way that brings glory to God.

Life is full of trials and the tempation to lift other false gods above one the one true God. Many times in adversity, idols we may have are revealed. In Acts 14 we see Paul and Barnabas, falsely worshipped and attacked. The question is, what idols do we have in our own lives?
